TURIST RUTES:

 

*  Rute Devesa of Rogueira: 

 

      Going out of the town of Moreda close to the natur´s class ( to here arrives the car), a km. More high we are in the forest. The path is very slope. To arrive to the top( Fonte do Cervo) we take 3 hours. Here we can take to the left: Formigueiros (up) or exit to Campelo, and turn on the righ to go out to the forest to a crossroad that take us to:Mirador de Pico y Pía Páxaro (right), Lagoa de Lucenza (left) or to Parada and Ferreirós (down).

 

*  Rute Río Pequeno-Devesa de Paderne: 

 

    Going out of Seoane  and follow by the old path that goes to Meiraos, passing down Vilasibil and Miraz arriving to Paderne (in two hours), always in the direction of Río Pequeno. Arrive to Paderne and take to “camino de la  devesa” to get up “O Alto da Escrita” (1.460 m) in two hours more. To get out can take to the left and down in two hours to Mercurín y Seoane (3 h), left and front to Seceda( 1h 30’), or to the right to  Pedrafita (1h).

 

*  Rute of Taro Blanco: 

 

    Going out to Seoane on direction to  Meiraos (we can go in car ), from here climb the mountain “da Cotela” arriving to a deflection to Mina da Toca (2 km walk). Follow the path arrive to Taro Blanco (10 km. from Seoane). If we going on, we arrive to Teixeira where we can go out to “ O Poio” (20 km. from Seoane).

 

*  Rute Froxán-Paramedela: 

 

    Going out from Froxán, follow the road and in the deflection to Castro Portela follow the path to the right that take us between “sequeiros”, chestnuts and pine grove to Paramedela in 3 hours of walk.

 

*  Rute of Río Louzara: 

 

    Going out in the place of A Ponte de Valdomir (4 km. Of Folgoso on direction Vilamor), turn on the right passing by Pendella y Touzón. Follow the curse of the Río Louzara going on walking to arrive to Lousadela (2h). In Lousadela we can visits a old smithy of XVIII Century, going on  1h more to arrive to Seceda (restore historic town). We can go back or get out by O Incio.

 

*  Rute of Ferramulín:

 

    Going out in car Seoane, passing by the Camping de Esperante (1 km) and get up to Mostad, where we turn on the right to Visuña. Passing by the Carbedo´s castle and get down to Visuña(15 km), follow in 6 km more to Ferramulín where we can visit a old water mill that  goes by Río Selmo, also are interest the agricultural-cattle cabin building in alone zones of the population centers.In 3 km follow the road we can visit the waterfall: “A pincheira de Vieiros” (turn on the left ).

 

*  Rute of Pía Páxaro: 

 

    Going out of Folgoso by the north side walking by a path that take us by the righ hillside to a  forestal path that links Alto do Boi with Alto do Couto (2h), we can take to the lefth to go to Mirador do Pico, return and take again to the left to Pía Páxaro, Devesa de Rogueira, Lucenza and Formigueiros, to the right to Alto do Boi.

 

CASTROS:                                                                                                                   

*  Castro of Vilar:  find it a 500 m of the town of Vilar (a 7 km of Folgoso), resaltes the defensive walls and the  prehistoric ceramics.

 

 

*  Castro of Torre:  is very closet to the town of Sobredo (a 7 km de Folgoso), deflecting us to the right path on the road that goes to Sobredo, in front and left.

 

*  Castro of Miraz:   is sited before arrive to the town of Miraz, have great high walls and incide was finded many sepultures.

 

*  Castro of Torexe: was in Visuña, in the Catastro de Ensenada that tells that was the place where reunes the ordinary justice of the town (Judge, Governing and Attorney).

 

* Other castros: Paderne, San Estevo (Piñeira), Froxán, Parada, Teso do Castro (Ferreirós de Arriba), Torre Cabreira (Monte Cido), Esperante, Romeor, Fouciños (Sobredo), Mogoxe, Brío (Mercurín).                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

ALBARES:                                                                                              

The albares was constructions of circle form, with a diameter about a 10 m and a  high of 2 m. MINES:

*  Mine of Toca: 

 

    Going out of Seoane on direction Pedrafita, in 500 m turn to Meiraos and 1,5 km more up climb by the path of Taro Blanco for 5 km then turno on the right 2 km walking, and arrive to Mina da Toca, here the romans extracts gold (that also continues uneraser) procedents of the mountains of Taro Blanco. The mine presents like a impresionant cut in the deepest hillside.

 

*  Mines of Torubio and Millares: 

 

    Going out of Seoane on direction Millares, and in 7 km. Arrive to the mines of Torubio (East and West) between Mostad and Millares, that extracs the minerals a topen sky with canalizations of water, very close to the mines of Millares.

 

 

DEVESA DE ROGUEIRA:

 

The“Devesa de Rogueira” is the natural space most important of the Sierra de Caurel. To arrive to the high part (was a two water font atributted health property : one spring up cristal water and other iron water) we can access  from Moreda (down) or going up from Campelo. The “Devesa de Rogueira” is a  natural reserve, with no special geographic extension, qualitativity has more interest, because between 700m and 1300m of high that to enframe, running infinity creeks by a tangle forest composted for any number of floral and fauna species, the visitant dont have other sensation that the silence and magic, only stoped by the birds songs and the boots noise over the dead leaves that engloves the paths.

 

POTHOLING:

 

*  Sima of Aradelas:  was in the place of Campelo (a 9 km de Seoane). Is the deepest cave of  Galicia.

 

*  Cova  Tralacosta: was in the place of  Paderne (9 km of Seoane), have fascinanting and underground galleries of  stalactites y stalagmites.

 

*  Cova da Ceza:  are placed in Noceda (8 km of Seoane), has 800 m of length with many great lounge comunicate with narrow steps, by means them run a creek of water of the lake at 25 m of deep located at the end.

 

*  Cova de Tralalastra:  was in the place of Mostaz, have two hundred meters with beautiful stalactite and stalagmites.

 

*  Buraca das Choias:  was in Visuña (to 15 km of Seoane).                                                 

*  Cova do Oso:  was in Moreda, walking 20 minutos.

 

*  Cova de  Teixeira: was in Teixeira (12 km of Seoane).                                       

 

TUNNEL OF ROMEOR:

   

    Is a aqueduct-tunnel placed in the town of (9 km of Seoane), in the mountain of Valiñas. Building in the II Century, was digger on the rock and have 50 m of length. Made for supply the water on the mines of Millares y Torubio for the wash of gold-bearing material.
